Different companies have their own characteristics. Based on the nature of the given business, their chart of accounts, departments, divisions, and projects are all different. SAP Business One 9.2 allows users to define up to 10 segments in the Chart of Accounts to reflect the business process and structure of the organization. This structure may increase transparency and clarity of financial reporting by business segments.
Go to Administration > System Initialization > Company Details > Basic Initialization and click Use Segmentation Accounts.
After choosing this option, the Account Code Generator, which allows users to design account codes, becomes available.
